This series will come down to a few important items. A: Texas’s Powerful lineup versus San Francisco’s brilliant and more importantly constant pitching. B: San Francisco’s fresh Bullpen versus the Rangers regular batters that should be slower in the late innings. San Francisco’s solid defense versus Texas’s base runners who are just average at running the pads.
- Texas has a lineup that led in batting average of .276 and in runs scored and were in the top five in the American League in OPS, home runs and stolen pads. The meat of the order are where most of the run production comes from and the rest of the order doesn’t compliment the three four and five hitters and thus this is where the Giants pitching staff will throw shut out ball.
- In the regular season, San Francisco’s bullpen was number two ranked in all of Major League Baseball League with an earn run average of 2.99. Brian Wilson, spearheading this bullpen has been lights out in post season gathering five saves and a victory seven appearances and allowing ZERO runs.
- Here is what I believe is the major difference that will dictate this series. The San Francisco gets their run production not from three players but from EIGHT players and it is called equal distribution. Here is what I mean:
| Avg | HR | RBI | ||
| Torres | CF | .268 | 16 | 63 |
| Posey | C | .305 | 18 | 67 |
| Huff | 1B | .290 | 26 | 86 |
| Burrell | LF | .252 | 20 | 64 |
| Guillen | RF | .258 | 19 | 77 |
| Sandoval | 3B | .268 | 13 | 63 |
| Uribe | SS | .248 | 24 | 85 |
| Sanchez | 2B | .292 | 7 | 47 |
Looks to be a great series. Good Luck!!!
